The festival takes place from Friday 29th August to Monday 1st September 2014 in the Welsh countryside near to Shrewsbury.
After several months of hibernation, a few posts have appeared on the Pigbag Facebook page.
First up, Ollie Moore, one of the two members of the original Pigbag featured in the reformed band, has decided to concentrate on other musical ventures and has left the band, entirely amicably.
Chris Lee will be continuing with the band which will now be known as “Brand New Pigbag“.
The “new” band will be playing their first gig at Cottons in Islington, London on Friday 13th June. Starts at 7:30 so get there early or book in advance.

As well as the Hyde Park event mentioned previously, Pigbag currently have the following gigs lined up:

The previously mentioned Leeds (Brudenell Social Club) and European gigs have been postponed for the time being.
Update: The Banbury Mill Arts Centre gig is no longer happening.
Pigbag will be playing on the Band Stand in Hyde Park, London on Sunday as part of the “Heart in the Park” event.
They’ll be on from 14:15 to 15:30, which means they won’t clash with Chic 🙂

PLEASE NOTE – the gig in Banbury May 10th – Mill Arts Centre has been rescheduled for SEPTEMBER. Sorry if anyone has bought tickets – I’m sure the venue will refund or reallocate your tickets to the new date.
Pigbag will be playing on Easter Monday (1st April) at East-Fest.
The event is spread over two days (Musical Youth are headlining the Sunday) on an open-air stage. East-Fest is presented by The Full Moon & Attic Bar.

Just a quick reminder that Pigbag will be playing two gigs in the next month.
First up is the “Back to the Phuture” gig at The Half Moon in Putney on Friday 25th January. The gig is free entry, but as the venue has a capacity of 200, it’s advisable to reserve a space (reservation costs 50p). Support is from Perhaps Contraption with Mark Jones (head honcho at Wall of Sound) Chris Sullivan (Blue Rondo A La Turk) doing a DJ set.
Next up is the band’s appearance at the Mostly Jazz festival launch party at the Hare & Hounds in Birmingham on Saturday 16th February. Details are on the flyer above, and tickets (£8+booking fee) can be had from MostlyJazz.co.uk.

Pigbag have announced details of their new album, to be titled “Year of the Pigbag”.
The album will be released on Monday 25th March 2013 as both a physical CD and a digital download.
